After “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”, there is a lesser-used fourth R — RECOVERY.

Waste-to-Energy technology recovers energy from residual waste to generate

  • reduces waste volume up to 90 percent
  • reduces greenhouse emissions
  • keeps metals out of landfills

Steve Jenness, a Covanta Energy Environmental Compliance Specialist, will explain how Waste-to-Energy works, its benefits, and its future. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology from Norwich University and a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
