Offit Kurman business law and transactions attorneys Michael N. Mercurio and Dan Casto represented Refirm Labs, Inc. in a venture capital fundraising round in which Refirm Labs issued $1.5 million in Series Seed Preferred Securities. Refirm Labs provides big data cybersecurity services with a focus on emerging technology. Refirm Labs was launched, in part, by the Columbia-based firm Tactical Network Solutions. Founded in 2007, Tactical Network Solutions helps clients discover hidden attack vectors in IoT and connected devices before someone else does. In contributing certain assets to Refirm Labs, Tactical Network Solutions created the platform for the eventual venture capital fund investment.
“It’s very rewarding to witness clients’ hard work, dedication and commitment become further realized with a new path and much promise. We were pleased to assist with this next step and wish much luck to the parties,” says Mercurio.
