Lockheed Martin Promotes Stephanie Hill to Lead Corporate Strategy

Lockheed Martin has promoted Stephanie C. Hill, who heads its Middle River plant, as vice president of Cyber, Ships & Advanced Technologies line of business for Rotary and Mission Systems, to lead the Bethesda defense giant’s global corporate strategy and business development.

Hill, 52, is well known locally as chair of the Greater Baltimore Committee, the first African-American woman to hold the post. She earned a bachelor of science in computer science and economics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and joined Lockheed in 1987 as a software engineer.

In her new role as senior vice president, she will oversee “global business strategies and overseeing the corporation’s efforts in identifying, assessing, qualifying, and pursuing new business opportunities.” Hill will also be a corporate officer.
