The Havre de Grace Arts Collective (“Arts Collective”) appointed Rebecca R. Jessop as Executive Director, responsible for overseeing the management of The Cultural Center of the Opera House and the Arts Collective. The Arts Collective is a newly formed 501(c)(3) organization created to address the cultural and economic needs of Havre de Grace and the surrounding region.
“We believe the Cultural Center will become an economic engine leveraging the arts furthering Havre de Grace as one of the best small towns in America,” says Bill Price, Chair of the Board of Directors. “The Arts Collective will work with local businesses to fill the off-season times with activities in the Cultural Center. We look forward to working with our community.”
Jessop is an experienced nonprofit professional with over 25 years of experience in fields ranging from social services to the arts. She has held leadership positions with the Harford County Public Library Foundation, United Way of Central Maryland, Center for the Arts, Harford County Cultural Arts Board, Town of Bel Air Film Festival and The Senator Theatre. Jessop’s community Involvement includes Harford Leadership Academy, Town of Bel Air Arts & Entertainment Advisory Board, Bel Air Downtown Alliance Design Committee and the Southern Harford County Rotary.
