KCI Technologies Inc., a multi-disciplined engineering firm with offices throughout the United States, welcomes Martha Morecock Eddy as corporate practice leader for transportation technologies. She will be responsible for leading KCI’s entry into the connected and autonomous vehicle market, a firm-wide strategic planning initiative that will integrate a variety of technical disciplines, including transportation, construction management, utilities, communications infrastructure, surveying, application development and geospatial solutions.
“Emerging technologies to facilitate Smart Cities and connected and autonomous vehicles may make headlines today but will quickly become commonplace and part of our everyday lives,” says Eddy. “The core management and operation of our infrastructure is changing in the most fundamental ways, and I’m thrilled to help KCI prepare for tomorrow’s technologies.”
Eddy has more than 30 years of experience in the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) industry, working nationally and internationally in both the public and private sectors. Her career focus has been on improving road safety through ITS. She is proficient in ITS planning, architecture development, systems engineering and design and business development. Eddy has managed a wide array of projects encompassing Smart City planning, active traffic management/managed motorways, connected vehicles, advanced transportation management systems, parking management, rural transportation systems and toll collection.
