MAEOE Honors Green Schools in Harford County

The Maryland Association of Environmental and Outdoor Education (MAEOE) recognized five Harford County Public Schools for completing incentives of their Green Schools program. Deerfield Elementary School and Edgewood High School were named new Green Schools, Havre de Grace High School and Norrisville Elementary School attained Green School recertification, and Forest Hill Elementary School achieved Sustainable School status.

“I am very proud of the fact that Harford County Public Schools has 22 Green Schools,” says Barbara Canavan, HCPS Superintendent. The Maryland Green Schools program has certified over a quarter of Maryland schools as Green Schools since its inception in 1999.
