The Kelly Group is proud of its deep, talented and dedicated team with its valuable and diverse skill set. No member of our organization exemplifies the quality of this team more than Chuck Wienckowski. We want to take this opportunity to recognize Chuck’s invaluable contribution to The Kelly Group’s mission and congratulate him for his recent promotion to Principal of The Kelly Group. As Principal, Chuck joins the executive committee, to which he will bring a career of dedicated client service, far-reaching vision, commitment to community and an impressive depth and breadth of skills and knowledge.
With 40 years of experience, Chuck wears several hats, including licensed financial advisor, Personal Financial Specialist, Certified Public Accountant, Accredited Estate Planner® and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®. A graduate of the University of Richmond with a bachelor of science degree in accounting, Chuck is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Personal Financial Planning Division, and serves as the chairman of the Personal Financial Planning Committee of the
Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants.
As financial advisor, he helps guide clients in their financial decisions to and through retirement. As tax advisor, Chuck helps bring to clients planning techniques available to mitigate unexpected and unwelcome income tax liabilities. Chuck has provided annual educational tax workshops to the firm’s clients and friends, discussing the latest twists and turns in the tax law in easy to understand, engaging language.
And over the last decade, Chuck’s work in the divorce arena has helped people undergoing the financial consequences of divorce analyze both the short-term and – more importantly – the long-term results of property settlements. He also works with family law attorneys, bringing to the table equitable settlement options that can help both parties flourish in the future.
It was clear as soon as Chuck joined The Kelly Group in 2010 that his dedication to client service was a perfect fit for the firm’s client-centric culture. And clients have responded to this dedication; for example, Chuck retains clients that came to him back in 1976 when he first arrived in Bel Air as a CPA.
Chuck brings to the firm and his clients a commitment to excellence and a philosophy that all goals worth attaining are attainable if the will is present. He has carried these life lessons with him since his four-year stint as an Army Ranger. Inspired by the Rangers’ demanding training regimen, Chuck has participated in more than 250 triathlons, including some of the country’s most difficult, such as the iconic Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon in San Francisco. The steely self-discipline required for these accomplishments is ever-present in the determination Chuck applies to helping our clients reach their financial and life goals.
Chuck also plays an active role in the community. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Harford Day School and is a past officer and member of the Harford Land Trust and the Bel Air Rotary Club. Additionally, he was a member of the M&T Bank Advisory Board for the Northeast Region from 1998 to 2004.
Chuck’s versatility, breadth and length of experience, and dedication to client service and community involvement have been invaluable assets for our firm through the years, and will continue to help The Kelly Group reach new heights as it enters its third decade. Congratulations, Chuck.
