The annual ATHENA Leadership Award Breakfast was held March 3 at the Richlin Ballroom. Organized by the Harford Community College Foundation, the ATHENA Leadership Award was given to Kathy Walsh (on right), director of marketing for Fallston Group, for excellence in business, community service and mentorship to other women. Paige Boyle (on left), director of marketing and customer relations for Boyle Buick GMC, received the new ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award for leaders age 40 or under.
The breakfast included keynote speaker Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, group publisher of BridgeTower Media and the first female editor of The Daily Record. Carolyn Evans, last year’s Leadership Award winner, made a $500 donation to the Maryland Center for the Arts on behalf of Sengstack and Evans. The first $1,000 ATHENA Leadership Scholarship, given to exemplary adults going back to college, was also presented at the breakfast to Katie Flynn, a second-year business student at Harford Community College.
