On behalf of The Kelly Group, I would like to congratulate Jodi Davis on her recent promotion to Principal of our firm. This well-earned honor is yet another stepping stone in Jodi’s impressive financial services career that spans more than three decades. As Principal, Jodi joins The Kelly Group’s executive committee, which provides insight and perspective to the firm’s strategic planning initiatives.
Jodi’s role in providing financial planning and wealth management guidance to our firm’s clients began after she herself experienced firsthand the tremendous value that such personalized advice can provide to one’s life. After seeing the full impact of being a client of The Kelly Group, she decided to become the means of providing those same benefits to others. In 2009, she embarked on a new professional adventure by becoming a financial advisor of The Kelly Group so that she could, in her words, “better help others reach physical, financial and emotional peace in their life.” As a result of her career decision, our clients continue to benefit from Jodi’s knowledge, professionalism, empathy and wisdom.
Jodi brings an impressively diverse background and passionate perspective to The Kelly Group, and is a perfect fit for our firm in so many ways. A family firm, The Kelly Group seems an appropriate professional home to Jodi who, as a proud and devoted grandmother, mother and wife, believes in family as a cornerstone of life. Jodi truly attempts to achieve a happy and balanced life for herself, and by doing so, attempts to guide her clients on a similar and successful glide path.
And like The Kelly Group, Jodi views her community as an extended family. She contributes her invaluable time and effort to a variety of professional and civic organizations, particularly as an advocate for women. She has served as Chair of the Women’s Giving Circle of Harford County, is an active member of the Chesapeake Professional Women’s Network and the Advisory Council for the Community Foundation of Harford County, and served on the Harford County Public Library Foundation. In addition, Jodi was appointed to, and served as, Commissioner and Chair for the Citizens Review Board of Harford County for over 10 years.
A graduate of Notre Dame of Maryland University, Jodi also shares The Kelly Group’s passion for financial education. At Harford Community College, she teaches the popular Savvy Women’s Series, covering such vital financial women’s issues as Retirement Strategies, Financial Planning & Pearls of Wisdom, and Social Security Strategies for Women. In fact, she speaks locally, regionally and nationally on Social Security Planning for Baby Boomers, a complex and often misunderstood topic for millions of people.
Since day one, I have always wanted our advisors to be that Norman Rockwell Town Doctor of Wealth Management, someone who is selflessly dedicated to their profession, community, and above all, our clients. Jodi has demonstrated those qualities and I’m pleased to have her on our team and now as a Principal. My heartfelt congratulations go out to her and to our clients for having someone who is always their advocate.
