The newly formed Harford Development Corporation named Bridgette Johnson as executive director. Previously, Johnson was a Sr. Economic Development Associate with the Harford County Office of Economic Development from 2007 to 2016. From 2003 to 2007 she worked for the City of Havre de Grace in planning and economic development.
The Harford Development Corporation consists of an 11-member board of influential private sector business leaders, and an Executive Director, all of whom have over 200 years of combined experience in the development industry. The HDC seeks to lessen the burden on government resources by increasing private sector investment in the areas of land development, affordable housing, transit-oriented development, transportation and employment.
Tom Fidler, Executive Vice President and Principal of MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Service and Vice President of the Harford Development Corporation, says, “Bridgette has been a very visible and prominent economic advisor within Harford County. Her years of experience and close relationships with the business community make her the right person to lead the HDC in its mission to improving the business climate in the local community. We are excited to have Bridgette lead our efforts.”
