March 2016

BALTIMORE—Loyola University Maryland’s Sellinger School of Business and Management was included among the nation’s best business schools for graduate specialties in accounting, finance and information systems in the “2017 Best Graduate Schools” rankings from U.S. News & World Report.

The specialty rankings are based on ratings by business school deans and directors of accredited MBA programs at the 470 schools U.S. News surveyed. The national specialty rankings for the Sellinger School are:

· Accounting: No. 24
· Finance: No. 21
· Information systems: No. 18

The Sellinger School is accredited by the International Association for Management Education (AACSB) and holds an additional AACSB accreditation for its accounting program. AACSB is the only agency that accredits accounting programs in the United States and only 182 accounting programs worldwide are accredited. Select graduate and undergraduate finance courses are conducted in the Sellinger School’s Student Experiential Learning Lab, where students have access to the Thomson Reuters Eikon Platform, Bloomberg Professional terminals and Morningstar Direct. Loyola’s Lattanze Center, a nationally recognized center of excellence for academic and practitioner collaboration on issues related to information technology, is closely connected to the information systems faculty and students, and provides a valuable resource for internships, projects and career entry.
