Diane Sengstacke and Carolyn W. Evans have been partners in Sengstacke & Evans, LLC, for 15 years, assisting clients in all types of business needs. “We are corporate attorneys and real estate attorneys, and we also handle estates and trusts, bankruptcies representing the creditor or the debtor, and most any aspect of doing business,” says Sengstacke. “We are a successful and stable, long-standing firm that has been together since 2001.” Due to their extensive range of experience, they serve a wide clientele.

In addition to being partner in the firm, Sengstacke also owns Home Title Company of Maryland, Inc., and as such, her work revolves around real estate. Through the title company, she handles both residential and commercial, purchases and refinance settlements throughout Maryland. Her many clients include lenders, Realtors, builders and repeat customers from her 25 years in business. She combines this knowledge for contracts, deeds and leases.

Evans’s clients include both individuals and businesses, forming corporations and LLCs, securing trademarks, representing buyers or sellers of a purchase or sale of a business, liquor board, lease negotiations, landlord evictions, and mechanics’ liens. “I also deal in the employment arena, representing employees through the EEOC claim process, to litigation in the Federal and State courts,” says Evans. “And, I represent clients with unpaid wage claims, including overtime, as well as defending clients against such claims.”

As a general practice law firm, they provide guardianships, wills and estate planning, and probate services to settle an estate. “An important part of any planning are powers of attorney and healthcare directives,” says Sengstacke.

Both Sengstacke and Evans are active in the community. Sengstacke was appointed by Governor Larry Hogan to the Judicial Nominating Commission, and appointed by County Executive Barry Glassman to the Harford County Economic Development Advisory Board, and serves on the Harford County Property Tax Assessment Appeal Board. Evans is immediate Past President of the Chesapeake Professional Women’s Network, and a Past Chairman of the Harford County Chamber of Commerce. I95
