UMBC Training Centers, the mid-Atlantic’s premier provider of technical, engineering and professional skills training, has announced a new partnership with RGsquared, a Baltimore-based innovation strategy and implementation consultancy, to create a program aimed at strengthening leadership skills within local businesses and non-profit organizations. The program will be called Leadership2 – The Corporate and Non-Profit Co-Operative.
“We developed this program to strengthen the relationships between local business leaders and non-profits in an impactful way,” said Gib Mason, COO and director of the Center for Leadership and Innovation at UMBC Training Centers. “UMBC Training Centers has a proven model for empowering leaders in business, and through this partnership with RGsquared we will create learning opportunities and, ultimately, better leaders across multiple types of organizations within our community.”
“RGsquared’s involvement with the social enterprise community in Baltimore inspired us to create a bridge between non-profits that are focused on positive social and environmental impact and corporations that are focused on profits to ultimately expand the concept of wealth creation,” said Wendi Bukowitz, managing director at RGsquared. “Partnering with UMBC Training Centers to co-create this program was key to moving from concept to reality and designing a high-value program that will develop hundreds of future leaders capable of making Baltimore and the world a better place.”
