The black antique truck bearing the Independent Brewing Co. logo is finally parked. A familiar site for over two years, this unique blend of branding and marketing started a 2-year buzz that culminated in a late October opening of the brewery’s 72-seat taproom on North Main Street. The former auto shop offered a space is as unique as Phillip Rhudy, founder and brewmaster.
The concept of a tap room without a restaurant is also unique, and allows Rhudy to invite local food trucks and restaurants to provide lunch and dinner to patrons. He has also tapped local artists to display their work inside the tap room. But, its all about the beer and creating a place where customers feel at home to listen to music, talk with one another and enjoy his hoppy creations. Closed Monday. I95
