Fast casual Bobby Flay restaurant a highlight
Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz, The Cordish Companies and Heritage Properties announced four new restaurants joining Cinemark Theaters in the new Towson Square entertainment center in downtown Towson.
Bobby’s Burger Palace, Bonefish Grill, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, and Hanabi Japanese Restaurant join the $85 million project on Joppa Road between Delaware and Virginia Avenues.
These best-in-class restaurants join the previously announced 15-screen Cinemark Theater, Nando’s Peri-Peri, La Tagliatella, and On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina.
“Towson Square is bringing quality entertainment and new international restaurant choices to the lively transformation of downtown Towson,” said Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz. “It is truly Towson’s time. Over $770 million in new offices, luxury apartments, shops and restaurants are completed, under construction or in development in downtown Towson.”
Towson Square’s movie theaters, restaurants and an 850-space parking garage are on track to open late summer/early fall 2014.
Towson Square is projected to create 1,530 jobs, including 660 construction jobs and 870 permanent jobs once the theatres and restaurants open.
“Downtown Towson is really coming into its own,” said Councilman David Marks. “These new restaurants are an exciting addition to what will be a first-class entertainment center.”
