Boyle Buick GMC Truck

August 2012

The Boyle family (l to r): Paige, Chuck, Chris, Blake and Randy.

Boyle Buick GMC Truck keeps it all in the family. Chuck Boyle, President, has managed the overall daily operations and strategic planning for the dealership for almost 30 years. Chris Boyle, Vice President/Director of Service Operations, manages the fixed operations of the dealership including all service, parts and collision repair operations.

Boyle Buick GMC Truck is big enough to be the only place you need to go for your automotive needs, and small enough to take care of you like a member of the family. Now owned by Chuck and Chris Boyle, the dealership was founded by their late father, Clarence, in 1968. Clarence responded to the financial pressures of raising a family by re-uniting with his old friend, Joe Lee, and joining the sales force at Lee Buick in Perryman. Over the course of the next 16 years, Clarence became one of the top Buick sales consultants in the country.

When Clarence purchased the dealership in 1968, it meant the end of the Lee family’s 50-plus years of stewardship of Harford County’s Buick headquarters, and the start of a new relationship between the Boyle family and their loyal Buick customers.

The dealership moved to its present location on Emmorton Road in Abingdon in 1977. After 25 years as a Buick dealer, Clarence sold the dealership to two of his sons, Chuck and Chris, in 1994. In 2009, Boyle Buick added GMC Truck. Up until his recent passing in March, Clarence remained actively involved as Chairman of the Board.

More than 40 years after Boyle Buick was founded, Clarence Boyle’s vision to be the very best continues as the guiding principle of Boyle Buick GMC Truck today. His total commitment to his customers and his community established the benchmark for the dealership.
They believe that their success as the No. 1 seller of new Buicks in Maryland, as the only dealership with six “World Class” service technicians, and as the leader in customer satisfaction for sales and service is determined entirely by their ability to honor that commitment.

Boyle Buick GMC Truck’s accolades include being a recipient of Buick’s “Best in Class” award for customer satisfaction and dealership practices 11 times in the 13 years of the program, twice named “Employer of the Year” by the Susquehanna Regional Association of Retarded Citizens, and winner of first annual Harford Award (1992).

Boyle Buick GMC Truck supports a number of organizations and gives back to the community in numerous ways including their support of multiple recreation councils, charities and Chuck’s very active role in several organizations. Those organizations include the Harford County Chamber of Commerce (Member of the Year, twice), Harford Community College Foundation (Board), Army Alliance Member, M & T Bank (Regional Advisory Board), Harford Mutual Insurance Company (Board of Directors) and the Bel Air New Car Dealers Association (Treasurer).
